Product Disclaimer
Last updated: June 9, 2026
Effective for all purchases made on or after this date.
This Product Disclaimer ("Disclaimer") applies to all products purchased from rothmere.co, operated by Jordan Global LLC ("Rothmere," "we," "us," "our"). By placing an order, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Disclaimer in full. It supplements, and does not replace, our Terms of Service, Return Policy, Shipping Policy, and Billing Terms.
1. Product Description
Rothmere sells watch winders and watch storage cabinets ("Products"). Product descriptions, specifications, images, dimensions, materials, finishes, and operating parameters listed on rothmere.co are provided in good faith and are accurate to the best of our knowledge at the time of publication.
Notwithstanding the above:
- Photographs are taken under controlled studio lighting. Actual color, grain, and finish may differ slightly depending on your monitor, ambient lighting, and natural variation in wood, leather, brass, or other materials used.
- Specifications may be updated by the manufacturer without notice. Rotor cycle counts, motor models, power consumption ratings, and similar technical figures are nominal values.
- Minor cosmetic variation between units is inherent to the manufacturing process and does not constitute a defect.
2. Results Disclaimer
A watch winder is a mechanical device designed to keep automatic (self-winding) watches wound when not being worn. It is not a service product, not a watch repair device, and not a guarantee of watch performance.
We make no representation, warranty, or guarantee that any specific watch will:
- Maintain accurate timekeeping when placed on a Rothmere winder
- Achieve a particular power reserve, amplitude, or rate stability
- Function correctly if the watch has pre-existing mechanical issues, requires service, is missing components, or is in a state of disrepair
- Be compatible with the rotor cycle range or rotation directions available on a given Rothmere model
Watch performance is determined by the watch itself — its movement, condition, lubrication, regulation, magnetism, and service history. A watch winder cannot correct, restore, or compensate for issues in the watch.
If your watch performs poorly while on a winder, the issue is almost always with the watch, not the winder. We recommend consulting a qualified watchmaker for diagnosis.
3. Compatibility Disclaimer
Different automatic watch movements require different winding parameters. Before purchasing, you are responsible for verifying that:
- Your watch model is compatible with the rotor cycle range (TPD) offered by the Rothmere model you are purchasing.
- Your watch model is compatible with the rotation directions (clockwise, counter-clockwise, or alternating) offered.
- Your watch fits the physical dimensions of the winder cradle and cabinet.
Rothmere does not assume responsibility for incompatibility between a Rothmere winder and the customer's specific watch model if the customer purchased without verifying these parameters. Where uncertainty exists, contact support@rothmere.co before ordering — we will help you confirm compatibility.
4. Intended Use and Use Limitations
Rothmere winders are intended for:
- Functioning automatic watches in good operating condition
- Indoor use in a temperature-controlled environment (60°F – 80°F / 15°C – 27°C; humidity 30% – 60%)
- Standard household AC power (110V – 120V, 60Hz, U.S. and Canada) or the included USB-C power source
Rothmere winders are NOT intended for:
- Watches that are damaged, broken, missing parts, or require service
- Vintage watches that have not been recently serviced (within 5 years) by a qualified watchmaker
- Watches with significant magnetism or that have not been demagnetized by a watchmaker
- Outdoor use, marine environments, or extreme temperatures
- Commercial or institutional use beyond the warranty period
Use outside these parameters voids any warranty and shifts all risk and liability to the user.
5. Electrical Safety
Rothmere winders draw low electrical current and are designed to operate continuously under normal household conditions. To protect both the winder and your watches, we strongly recommend:
- Connecting the winder to a surge-protected outlet
- Avoiding daisy-chained extension cords and multi-tap power strips
- Disconnecting the winder during electrical storms or extended travel from the residence
Rothmere is not liable for damage caused by power surges, lightning strikes, brownouts, voltage spikes, or any electrical event outside our reasonable control. Surge protection is the customer's responsibility.
6. Magnetic Interference Warning
Watch winders contain electric motors which produce small magnetic fields. While the magnetic fields produced by Rothmere winders are within standard industry norms, certain sensitive watch movements (particularly antimagnetic-rated movements below ISO 764 standard, vintage caliber movements without antimagnetic shielding, and certain high-precision chronometers) may be more susceptible to magnetism than modern movements.
If your watch is unusually sensitive to magnetism, consult a watchmaker before placing it on any winder, including ours. Rothmere is not liable for magnetic effects on watches with abnormal magnetic sensitivity.
